Jessica holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Mount Alison University in Sackville, NB. She is an art instructor for weekly after-school art lessons at 10 different schools. Jessica was involved in the “Uncommon on the Common” art project in Rothesay, NB.

“There are many aspects of apprenticing with the Sculpture Saint John symposium that I find appealing. I have recently realized the two loves of my life are art and New Brunswick. The chance to expand my knowledge and skill in art making and contribute to a local, community-based project is incredibly exciting. My search for inspiration is leading me home, and I can’t imagine an experience more inspiring than using locally quarried stone to sculpt a work of art destined for a New Brunswick community, especially a sculpture that is one piece of a larger, lasting story of art leading present and future generations through our province. Projects like this that promote artistic expression and art education are necessary to keep the spirit of creativity alive in our Maritime communities.”
