In 2012 Sculpture Saint John received 150 applications from around the globe. From these applicants, 6 accomplished sculptors were selected to shape mammoth chucks of stunning local granite into works of art. The New Brunswick International Sculpture Symposium presented these artists with the opportunity to display their finished works in prominent locations in our region.
Magnificent sculptures were created August-September 2012 on the former Coast Guard site on the Saint John Waterfront. A free and open event, cruise ship passengers, tourists, students and the general public watched the sculptors in the midst of their creative process.
