New Brunswick International Sculpture Symposium Inc. was established in 2011. It oversees and guides Sculpture Saint John, a six-week sculpture symposium modelled after the original international Austrian symposium of 1959. Sculpture Saint John is a biennial event that began in 2012 and has brought artists from over 15 countries to Saint John.

During Sculpture Saint John’s first four symposiums, over 125,000 visitors experienced New Brunswick granite coming to life. We have 30 pieces installed throughout the region and our international sculptors and community have mentored 22 emerging artists and each year, 125 volunteers participate. Over 150 individuals and companies have helped Sculpture Saint John contribute more than $3M to our local economy since 2012.
